- A Virginia man allegedly killed himself and his family in part because he was upset by the thought of President Barack Obama being re-elected.
- There’s a new pseudo-documentary making the rounds that alleges that President Obama’s father isn’t his real father and basically calls his mother a whore.
- 200 FDNY firefighters rallied outside a Brooklyn courthouse in protest of a ruling that said they had to hire more people of color. The fire department in question is 90% white but the city isn’t. All of the people who showed up in protest were white.

- Republican Candidate for Congress, Brad Staats, posted a picture of his gun on Facebook and said “Welcome to Tennessee, Mr. Obama.”
- Balloons filled with bleach were thrown at PoC students at the University of Texas at Austin. A march was held in protest.
- New York Times public editor, Margaret Sullivan, says that readers won’t benefit if the stop calling undocumented immigrants “Illegal.” Linguists responded by saying the term was neither accurate nor neutral.
