Saying white racism doesn’t exist is analogous to saying that male rape doesn’t exist…
It may not be nearly as widespread of a problem, but to deny it completely is disingenuous.
:\ Reverse racism doesn’t exist. It’s not institutionalized, it’s not systematic. Discrimination or prejudice are absolutely possible, but to blanketly call it all racism is naive and untrue.
And I’m reeeeally uncomfortable with trying to use denial of rape as an analogy here.
It’s pretty simple. Rape victims, whether male or female, have been stripped of their autonomy and it’s a damn trauma.
All white people experience is bitterness and hurt feelings when people of color actually react to the stupid shit they do. White people are not oppressed. As a white person, I am not offended in the slightest when a PoC says something against white people, because
1) I know they’re right
2) I try not to be the awful kind of white person that a lot of others are
