Random Acts of Chaos

Picture of the DayDakar, Senegal. A man holds prayer beads, his cellphone and goggles and a mask to protect himself from teargas during protests against President Wade in the Senegalese capital.

Listen To: Senegalese pop star Youssou N’Dour’s “Fekke maci boulé“ or “I Am Involved.” N’Dour attempted a presidential bid, but was ruled an invalid candidate by a Senegalese court (whose judges were all appointed by President Wade). The court also ruled that Wade could run for a third presidential term, despite a constitutional three term limit. In an interview with the Telegraph, N’Dour warned that Senegal is sinking into a dictatorship.
